We connect Bavarian Startups with Silicon Valley
The Bavaria meets Silicon-Valley program has been created to help Bavarian technology startups connect with prospective investors and partners from Silicon Valley.If you are a startup in Bavaria looking to expand your business into the US and to attract new financing then this program will help you prepare your pitch and connect you with relevant angels and partners.
US business angels invest 20 billion USD p.a. in startups. In the last several years the competition for deals and for engineering talent has intensified and angels are looking for deals from outside the Valley. At the same time, Bavarian entrepreneurs with excellent technical skills start companies and then quickly have to work towards international expansion and raising the required financing. For most companies this will mean turning to the US, in particular to Silicon Valley.
So if you have been thinking about establishing a footprint in the Silicon Valley this is your chance. Apply to the program where selected companies will be coached in-depth by leading experts on how to present their business case. At the end of the first phase a jury will pick those companies that are relevant and ready and help them navigate Silicon Valley in order to meet business angels and strategic partners.
The BSVA at this stage is a pilot project designed to validate the concept. In typical Silicon Valley fashion this is run as a “Lean Startup” with very limited resources and very rapid implementation. Why are we doing this? Simply to prove that this can work. The pilot will be a success if companies benefit from the bootcamp experience and if we can get at least one angel investment.
